The Jamaat - Rates & Procedures

ALL WEDDING/ENGAGEMENT PARTIES CONCERNED

We take the pleasure in congratulating you on the wedding occasion of your son/daughter. May Allah (S.W.T.) bless the couple with eternal happiness. Ameen.

We request you to cooperate in complying with the instructions mentioned below and assure you our maximum support should you need any assistance.

1. Due to space constraint, only three (3) wedding/engagement occasions will be handled at a time; (2) in the Ladies Main Hall & (1) in Mehfile Abbas. Please ensure you register these occasions in advance with the Jamaat.

2. All decorations (bride’s area), inside the Ladies Main Hall and in Mehfile Abbas, will be handled  by the Jamaat (Ladies Committee) in order to standardize the  decoration and save space inside the Imambargah. The decorators, assigned by the ladies committee, will discuss the decoration colour with the party concerned and charge accordingly. Due to recent major electrical glitch all decorators are requested not to utilize the Imambargah electrical connections.

3. Any photographer or videographer coming inside the Imambargah premises must observe a proper dress code. Long pants/long skirts with decent length tops either full or half sleeved will be acceptable. Sleeveless blouses, short tops and short skirts will not be tolerated. No video/photo of the Bride should be taken at the entrance or during majlis and of the general public due to hijaab issues.

4. Only five (5) items will be allowed inside the Imambargah for presenting to the bride during Engagement or Mehndi Ceremony.

5. After the Nikah is performed in the Imambargah, only 6 persons (3 from each party) will be allowed to stand up to offer mubaraki immediately after the Nikah. We expect your total cooperation.

6. On the night of the Nikah only 6 chairs will be placed alongside the bride’s area – 3 chairs on either side. This rule is due to space constraint and in order to accommodate other members of the public without causing any inconvenience. Other family members can use the public chairs that are placed at the entrance of the Imambargah.

7. Finally, during nondh (registration) occasion of any youth only one person will be allowed to present the bouquet of flowers inside the Ladies Main Hall. The rest can present their flowers outside the hall.

We wish you all the best.

Jazakallah khair.
