Ever since the inaugural event held in 2005, this sports festival has considerably symbolized towards the development of the female fraternity of our community. Besides encouraging our ladies to participate in competitive sporting events and promoting physical fitness amongst them, the aim of this get-together is to provide for utmost interaction between the ladies of different Jamaats, which will cultivate unity and kinship amongst them. Enabling of this association amongst contestants is an integral part of our festival and the theme of the event.

WE WILL HAVE TO SUBMIT A TENTATIVE LIST OF PARTICIPANTS BY THE END OF THIS MONTH. PLEASE ACT FAST TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT

NOTE : The participation fee per participant (including the Team Manager) is US $100. We will try and get the best rates for airfare to Mombasa. Those individuals requiring visas must let us know well in advance.

SPORTS:

* Team Sports (2 categories - Under 16 Years & Over 16 years)
o Netball - 7 players + 3 substitutes
o Football - 8 players + 2 substitutes
o Rounders - 9 players + 3 substitutes
o Swimming - 6 players
o Badminton - 4 players + 1 substitutes

* Individual Sports (open to all players)
o Tennis - 2 players
o Table Tennis - 4 players
o Scrabble - 6 players

Below you will find some information regarding the festival :

1. The competition is divided into two age categories: under-16 and over-16. In badminton only, an additional age category of over-25 has been included
2. There are a total of EIGHT (8) sporting events (highlighted above) on offer at the Festival.
3. A maximum of 60 participants are allowed per Jamaat. This includes a non-playing Team Manager
4. Participation fee is US$ 100.00 for each participant, including non-playing Team Manager
5. A participant shall not be allowed to enter in more than two (2) field events namely Football, Netball, and Rounders.
6. A participant may only register for a maximum of three (3) sporting events, i.e. two field events and badminton OR swimming.
