Salamun Alaikum,

The Education Board is now progressing towards the second part of the HEIGHTS (Higher Education Initiative - Giving Hope To Students) project. The advancement of this project cannot continue without your help.

We ask all students who will be entering college in the next 2 years to e-mail us their names, year of finishing school, father's name, choice of career, school name and current class, telephone number and e-mail address. The reason we ask for this is: -

• We can estimate the financial need of the community with regards to higher education.

• We are in the process of trying to obtain discounts from local universities.

• We would like to match each student with a mentor (see below) so as to serve as a base for career counseling

• We are conducting a feasibility study on the cost-effectiveness of sending a batch of students to either Sweden, New Zealand or South Africa.

We also ask all professionals in our community to come forward as mentors for these students. Those who: -

• Have obtained a qualified degree in some particular field (e.g: - BBA in Marketing)

• Are now working in a company (preferably multinational) as a professional in that field (e.g: - Marketing executive in PEPSI)

• Are preferably below 35

• Are a part of our community

• Will be willing to come to a session whereby a professional career councilor will be showing them how to advise kids
