Preparing for Adulthood – An
Islamic Focus / The Islamic Way
The “Youths” are the future of our community. As any
young person faces it, our children are also experiencing the
challenging phase of transformation from “Childhood” into
“Adulthood”. This period is often
turbulent as it goes through rapid biological changes and
physical growth of the body. The mind of a person is under
tremendous pressure as it demands satisfactory answers to every
“WHY” followed by endless questions. The stress is further
augmented through “peer pressure” and influences of the society
that the person lives in.
It is the responsibility of the Youths and their Parents
to recognise the challenges that are faced by the Youths in
today’s world and provide for effective solutions, both of which
can be achieved to a great extent through appropriate education.
This Year’s Summer Camp will provide “Full Insight” on
this subject and show the “Islamic way” to help the Youth manage
a successful transformation for the better future of the
“Youths of our community”.
The subject will be covered in depth
by Sister
Selina Kassamali
through Lectures and Workshops.
The topics she will be touching on will include:
·
Marriage and Shariah
·
Hijab – What is it?
·
Who’s your friend?
·
Proximity to Allah (SWT)
through Taqwah
“Indeed it is from Allah that we have come and to him
shall we return”.
To deal with the problems of a changing world it is most
appropriate to look within for guidance. Character building with
a focus on Islamic principles is the best way forward.
