Born in
Kuwait to parents originally from Najaf, Iraq. Migrated to England
during childhood. Studied in London from school through to university.
Graduate in
Law & Psychology from University College London.
Lecturing
for last three years. Has developed a fantastic reputation as a top
lecturer with strong skill and passion.
Specialized
topics include Ahlul Bayt, Quran, Hadith, Islamic History (Prophets,
Battles, Events in history etc), Inter-faith Dialogue, Social Issues
Affecting Youth today.
An
attention-capturing lecturer. Inspiring and motivating, enjoyed by
both youths and adults alike.
Has lectured
at many Islamic centers and universities across UK, including Hujjat
Stanmore London and Hyderi Islamic Centre.

Arif Abdul Hussein

(Founder of Al
Mahdi Institute, B'ham)

Born in 1964
in Uganda, his family moved to the United Kingdom in 1972.
He studied at Madrassah Syed Al- Khoei, London and
graduated with Honours in 1988. He also taught Grammar,
Logic, Islamic Law and Usul al-Fiqh at MSK, London,
1987-9. He then went to Iran for further Arabic and
Islamic Studies and received his training at Hawza
Ilmiyyah between 1989-93. He also attended private
training and research studies with leading scholars of Qum
between 1990 and 1994. At the same time he taught grammar,
logic and usul al-fiqh in Qum. He returned to the UK to
establish the Institute and he has been the Director and
Senior Lecturer in Usul al-Fiqh and Islamic Philosophy
since 1994. He received graduate training in Usul al-Fiqh
and Islamic Law from 1994 until 2000 under Ayatullah H.
Amini in the U.K. He has also been a lecturer in Qur'anic
Studies and Science of Hadith at the Islamic College in
London 1999-2000.

status in 1988 by Syed Hussein Qazwini (of Hauza in Qum
and special representative of Marhum Ayatollah Khomeini.)
Researcher
in the topics of Islamic History especially the life
history of 14 infallibles, Ma’aad (Life after death – a
totally innovative subject quite unlike the contemporary
lectures – a total truth exposed), Human Psychology and
Human Development, Islamic Economic System, Laws of
Employment and Business (according to Ehhlebait a.s.),
etc. Topic under research is: “ Human relation in the
religion of Ehlebait a.s.”
